    My experience is mainly in strategic planning, creating alliances, managing multi-cultural teams and developing new enterprises in foreign markets.​

    I believe we can all be leaders in our own space and latitude: we have to discover our internal strengths and motivations, we have to learn how to tame our fears and put ideas into action, we need to learn how to manage conflict, how to compromise solutions, in order to achieve what we want for our future.

     

    I believe that we can be better persons, better professionals, better neighbors and better citizens if we all become aware of our potential and our impact in society, and do something about it.

  • My Experience

    After a successful Executive career of more than 20 years in the Engineering and Project Management Business, I started my own company to provide management consulting and PM services, where I applied myself as a consultant and a coach. We successfully executed projects with local allies in the North and Latin American Markets, for clients in the Oil, Gas, and Infrastructure sectors.

    My personal experience led me to change in the direction of tackling significant social problems, as a way to have positive and lasting impact in my surroundings. Thus, I decided to become a social entrepreneur, with a particular passion to work in the areas of leadership, civic engagement and social development.

    My first project was CITIVIVA, a startup which developed a next-generation Cloud platform to create a virtual space in which citizens, services and city governments can work together to make cities better places to live in.

    Following CITIVIVA, I recently completed a Certificate on Digital Transformation from UC Berkeley Haas, and a Professional Certificate in Leadership Coaching for Organizational Development at the University of Rutgers, New Jersey, which complement my Master of Business Administration degree at Henley Management College in the UK. This academic training has given me tools to design methodologies and offer updated knowledge and skills to my clients.

    My purpose is to create and test methodologies to help people make their dreams into realities

    In Gtech we support people and businesses, using technologies and innovation, to become leaders in the digital era. My previous experience as an entrepreneur, as a consultant and as a executive professional, managing multi-cultural teams, planning and developing new enterprises in Latin American countries, plus the a Certificate on Digital Transformation from UC Berkeley Haas, and a Professional Certificate in Leadership Coaching for Organizational Development at Rutgers University, will be valuable assets to my clients.

    Founding Partner and CEO           July 2013–Jan 2017

    CITIVIVA is a citizen engagement IT platform where citizens, public service companies and government work together to solve problems in the communities and thus improve the quality of life in cities. Led the project from the initial idea to the launch in pilot city:

    • In charge of definition and management of overall project scope and budget
    • Collaboration in the design and development of the digital prototype
    • Management of international design and development team across USA, Portugal, México and Uruguay.
    • Recruitment and training of local team in Uruguay
    • Launched a pilot platform in Montevideo.
    • In charge of social media communications and strategy

     

    In November 2015, CITIVIVA won the FIWARE Audience Award in the World Smart City Expo in Barcelona, Spain. This startup is currently in the process of raising funds for the next phase of the project.
